About Us

The Annapolis Kappa Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) Organization founded and chartered in the State of Maryland in 2001. As an affiliate of the Annapolis (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, our primary mission is to award scholarships to deserving African American male high school graduates, who are pursuing an undergraduate degree at a four-year college or university. Since 2001, over $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded to deserving young scholars.  

Over the years, we have also supported:

  •  Annapolis High School, Annapolis, MD

  • Annapolis Boys and Girls Club, Annapolis, MD

  • Anne Arundel Community College, Arnold, MD

  • Other deserving charity organizations that support the under-represented communities in Anne Arundel County

Scholarship

Scholarship

The Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship is dedicated to supporting academic achievement of all students, but of African American males in particular, who are high school seniors in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Applicants must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.8 and must be seeking entrance to an accredited college or university and are evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Grade Point Average

  • Written Essay

  • Financial Need

  • References

  • Recorded Video Statement
